Thank you for your sharing your martial art tradition.
Of interest to me is the way you move your fingers Sifu.🤗
Thank You. You beautiful soul 🙏
👊🏾😎👍🏼 🙏🏼😇🙏🏾
🦋☯🙏
great class, tk's Master!
A good example of Solidity & Speed; a joy to behold 🪷🕊
Self-secret
The music is beautiful and your grace is inspiring 🙏
Now I feel better, I thought I might have been the only one with a Dantian that is sometimes hard to pinpoint 😂 Though there is something else which I need your help with. I feel Daoism as intuitive, something we can all feel inside and witness all around. In this case how would it be only a few hundred or couple thousand years old? ...Does that just mean, the written history?
Very nice
nice
Love it
Seifu Hai Yang I’ve been reading the root of Chinese Qigong by Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming can you recommend any other books on this topic you where talking about in this video. Thank you for your advice and videos they have helped me train and learn more about Xingyi and wing chun an how to make internal power more effective
in that sense we are 100% alike, I do small moves all the time, for no reason but for the movement itself
it feels good to have the heartbeat between the fingers. this is a way to experience the great circuit. 🔌
JUST what I NEEDED! I watch a lot of Hong Kong movies, and I've been piecing together what Shifu means. Shi is also the tenth count. Fu shows up EVerywhere. Kungfu, gongfu.. Time, work, steps. To me this shows that Shifu is somebody who has done ten times more the practice as you. The relationship. In United States we call these people Coach.
Loved your presentation btw ✌
This is unrelated to this particular video, but I'd like to thank you for your knowledge. I have been practicing internal styles for over 13 years here in Australia, but had no knowledge of Daoist cultivation practices made available to me- we only have one major temple in the area, along with a small parish a few hours way from my home. Your series on Xiu Dao has reinvigorated my meditation practices and opened up my horizons immeasurably. I hope I will be able to find time this year to study the rest of your work, as well as recommence my martial training in earnest. I am infinitely grateful to you, this channel and the knowledge within it is a treasure.
You are very welcome.
Thanks Master. When you mentined the 6 and 8-directional forces. Is this the essence of Peng Jin in that the internal force is in 8 directions and maybe even infinite in advanced stage, in spherical form such that it surrounds the body and acts like a shield. Is this also what makes the whole body act like a dantien?
Not that necessary. Peng Jin is an essential martial energy but should not over-emphasized either.
What a dick 🤣
NICE , TK'S MASTER!
thank you for the demonstrations. the tree branch exercise, i think we can replace it with barbell, but looks like it can be dangerous for my shoulders :( but the dumbbell exercise looks good, it seems similar to bagua deerhorn knives movement. i will try looking into that as well, thank you very much.
The tree branch exercise really reminds one of how the 关刀 is used in many TCMA forms. I have only practiced with the 关刀 briefly, but I know from the experience that you MUST use your whole coordinated body strength to manage it effectively. This kind of practice many not produce the kind of 'explosive' power ideal for striking, but in terms of wrestling, throws and sweeping - this is really good training for 'grappling' strength. Thank you for sharing! P.S., while I know you do not teach 八極拳, I was wondering if you could share any opinions you might have about 八極拳 and it's practice. Thank you.
Ba Ji Quan is a great style in developing martial energy. I know about it a bit since I worked on it shortly for fun when I was a child.
Raver Conan says, "hold my beer".
Very solid technique! Loved it
A delight; thank you 🪷
I appreciate all these wonderful videos
thank you for sharing! I have been exploring spontaneous bagua movements like this and this helps.
You're so welcome!
A beautiful flow, Sensei
excellent
Thanks!
Good morning, dear master Hai Yang. After your casual practice video, I started to do this in the streets, doing some tai chi form woth the arms while walking normaly. But only when there no one to watch me. Otherwise people would think: "Who is this weirdo moving his arms like this?"😅
Too true😂
hahaha, I've never do that in public:)
Forget their judgment. Heroes appreciate. Cowards judge.
Hello Master Hai Yang, thank you for sharing your knowledge with the community. If you don't mind I would like to ask you a quick question, Is there any other branch of xing yi besides SHANG that retracts the forward foot when practicing Pi Quan? I have seen that practitioners of that branch retract the forward foot at the same time as the forward hand before taking the forward step.
Hello, it is an interesting question. That step is not Shang style stepping method but used by all the Hebei style branches. Li Cunyi made a five stepping methods for each of the Five Element fist and that is one of them.
@@HaiYangChannel thanks You very much
Isn't there an art called Gang Rou Quan?
Yes.
I’ve just watched this video. Just to add more info to Question 10 regarding Ji Jin Shan- he is my Laoshi’s teacher, Master Zhou Yue Wen. Yes, Ji Jin Shan did set up Min Qiang Wushu in Shanghai.
After I added strength training to my Tai Chi my postures improved and I realized I wasn't lacking flexibility but strength in such movements as "snake creeps down."
I love the Casual Practice series. It will be a goldmine for western internal arts students, who may not have the chance to have the same kind of teacher-student relationship that exists in China, where students can benefit from informal, outside-of-class interactions with teachers.
Didn't Chen Fa Ke use heavy weapons when he trained ? That's what i understand.
who said not?
@HaiYangChannel just asking your opinion.
I see. Yes, Chen Fa Ke did that.
